All about Kendra

Kendra, or Dr. K as teachers endearingly tagged her during her first year as principal, is a seasoned educational leader who is passionate about ending the perceptions that perpetuate achievement gaps.  As a school improvement specialist, Kendra has lead the charge to support districts and campuses across the U.S. in successful school-turnaround efforts. Through leadership coaching, strong focus on standards-based curriculum, quality professional development and igniting passion in educators to sincerely believe ALL students can achieve at high levels, Kendra's resume offers a track record of  rapid achievement results with at-risk student populations. Drawing on her many years of experience in Bilingual/ESL education and her work leading high preforming, inner-city campuses, Kendra has developed a wide variety of  unique skill sets that serve as the basis of her success with school-turnaround efforts. Offering experience as both a campus and central office administrator, Dr. Strange specializes in advanced academics with at-risk students, Bilingual/ESL ed. and standards-based curriculum writing/allignment.  Dr. Strange has extensive training with Learning Sciences International and The Marzano Center is well versed in both Common Core Standars and the TEKS, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.
